About AcuVetI'm a veterinarian who has always had an interest in physical therapies and rehabilitation for animals. As well as a veterinary degree, I have a university-based post-graduate qualification in animal chiropractic and am a certified veterinary acupuncturist (see below for a list of my qualifications and training). I'm also currently studying to become a registered osteopath to treat people. At home I have three horses, a dog and a cat, who all have different preferences for their favourite treatment! I also enjoy training them, using clicker training in conjunction with other methods also based on scientifically-proven learning theory. What do I do?I treat animals for a variety of problems that affect their performance, comfort or wellbeing – please see the pages describing each therapy for examples of conditions that can be treated. Following assessment of your animal, I am able to offer treatment using a range of therapies, including chiropractic, acupuncture, craniosacral therapy and other physiotherapy and osteopathic techniques. For the comfort of your horse I also provide a saddle fitting and reflocking service. Although I mainly treat horses, I also treat dogs, cats, cattle, goats and alpacas! Please note that I do NOT provide normal veterinary cover and you should contact your regular veterinarian for this. However I am happy to work with your vet to provide physical therapy and rehabilitation for your animal as appropriate.
