Other therapiesI use a range of manual therapy techniques to treat animals, selecting which one is most appropriate for the animal at the time of treatment. Craniosacral techniques are vey gentle and help to ease soft tissue tensions. I often use positional release techniques for acute conditions, which is also a very gentle method to use. Both of these are commonly used by osteopaths in human treatment. Another commonly used technique is joint mobilising, a favourite of physios, and a good way to release stiff joints. A number of techniques might be used during a treatment session, depending on how the animal presents. They are all complementary to each other, and having a large number of tools available means I can tailor the treatment to suit each animal.
